In April 2010 Bob got back to the northern area of Bougainville some 23 years (after living in Arawa in the south of Island for the 5 years before that). It was a bittersweet moment as in the intervening years Bougainville has been through a full scale war and a fragile peace process. They have lost a full generation of their educated young people
