In December 2009 I had the opportunity to stop off in Paris on my way to Niger. Our client had a deal with Emirates that enabled us to fly business class, which in this case was in the top deck of the A380 Aircraft. It would have to be the most comfortable flight I have had, with even a bar at the back of the aircraft. |

I was greeted in Paris to a temperature of 6 degrees and constant drizzle, but the bleak conditions were more than compensated for by the beauty of the city. I stayed at the Hotel Amarante near the Arc de Triomphe, The tomb of the unknown soldier is located at the Arc de Triomphe with a view down the Champs Elysees and no prizes for recognising the Eiffel Tower |
