During 2008 Bob has been working on an AusAID funded project in the Philippines involved with putting in place procedures with the Department of Works and Highways (DPWH) and the National Development Authority (NEDA) to be able to put major projects out to the market using Public Private Partnerships (PPP).
A particular notable project being advanced by the scheme is the Panguil Bay bridge a 2.4 km crossing of a large bay in Mindanao in the south of the Philippines
Bob has been based in the GHD Office in Manila but has travelled out of town to Mindanao and Masbate for site visits
Our course he has used the opportunity to have a look around and to indulge his passion of visiting active volcanoes of which the Philippines is well endowed.
